Close Counters Bio

Emerging from the depths of Tasmania are Allan McConnell (23) and Finn Rees (21) who are known for their electrifying fusion of electronic, hip-hop and jazz and their signature dense synths and driving bass-lines.

To start off 2018, Close Counters released their first full-length project called SOULACOASTA, a 12-track whirlwind ride through Soul with no safety brakes. The project developed during Close Counters nine month Europe trip, in which they dug up a number of rare groove records whilst crate digging. The end result is a dance-floor worthy mixtape of organic house/boogie/disco and more.

David Western

David Western's bashful and winsome sensibility has fooled many. An explorer of personal space, soaring downcast rock and dimly-lit folk tunes, he's an old soul that writes with purpose - observing the norm and turning things inside out.

Performing unheard songs years in the making, that sound one way and make you feel another, a provoked curiosity and lasting fascination is undeniable.
