Currently two thirds of Australians don’t get enough exercise to maintain their health. At the same time, our cities are being choked by traffic. Health and congestion costs are draining billions out of our economy each year. In an effort to do more to help the environment we encourage people to get out of their cars and on to bikes.
Wednesday October 18 was Ride2Work day and to show our support we sent one of our friendly staff to the corner of Alexander Pde and Canning St to hand out free family swim passes for those who swapped their car for a bike.
We gave out 150 family swim passes to community members riding to work. This not only helped the environment on the day but also encouraged a large number of people to continue being active by joining us with their family for a swim. At Carlton Baths we not only encourage exercise but also protecting the environment.
