Our Running Group has begun - from Tuesday 2nd Febuary 2016!

We meet on Tuesday mornings for a group session and have optional group runs* across the week. (Thursday evenings (6pm at Princes Park) and Saturday mornings (9.30am depart Carlton baths - 9.45am at Princes Park)

Thursday and Saturday sessions will not always be attended by an instructor. The session plans will be attached on this page. 


First time beginners through to experienced runners can come and get involved. 

Whether your goals are:

  • Overall cardiovascular fitness
  • Training for an event
  • Weight Management
  • Building endurance
  • Improving Running Technique
  • Training for high intensity anaerobic running


Our sessions will try to cater for a wide scope of goals and levels. 

We will look to do one formalise group session weekly and then two other informal sessions where you will have workouts, drills and exercises to complete. 



When & Where: Tuesday mornings (6am meet at Carlton Baths, 6.15am meet at corner College Cres & Princes Park Drive)

*Participants can choose to meet at Carlton Baths and use the 1.1km trip (approx 14min walk) to Princes Park as a warm up. Further warm Ups will be conducted from 6.15am at Princes Park for all particpants. 

Sessions will operate around the perimeter of the south end at Princes Park. It may also involve Crawford Oval on occasion. 

Session will end at 7am with Instructor using the 1.1km jog/walk (approx 14 mins) back to Carlton Baths as a cool down activity. 

*Note: We will be looking at having informal group runs on Thursday night and Saturday mornings. This will be pre programmed by the instructor and will be encouraged build up your progress.
